Here is the question...
Do you believe in superstitions?
I would have to say I don't but I do....Like I don't believe in most of them but I sometimes find myself getting cautious of silly little superstitions...

The Devil's Dozen It is said: If 13 people sit down to dinner together, all will die within the year. The Turks so disliked the number 13 that it was practically expunged from their vocabulary (Brewer, 1894). Many cities do not have a 13th Street or a 13th Avenue. Many buildings don't have a 13th floor. If you have 13 letters in your name, you will have the devil's luck (Jack the Ripper, Charles Manson, Jeffrey Dahmer, Theodore Bundy and Albert De Salvo all have 13 letters in their names). There are 13 witches in a coven.
There are so many theories.... There's also the point that cavemen only used to be able to count their 10 fingers, and their feet counted as two units-- adding up to 12. One more would make 13, which seems strange and abnormal.
But I think the real question is that.. Why didnt they count toes? Did they HAVE toes?
Anywho.

I've become content with this life that I lead where I drink too much and don't believe in much of anything.. Sorry.. Straylight Run moment there. Kate started it.. Um.. Superstitions were made up to scare people. If you break a mirror, or walk under a ladder, you don't have 7 years bad luck. If you step on a crack, you don't break your mother's back. Friday the 13th doesn't bring bad luck to everyone and it isn't an evil day. Etc.. etc.. etc.. If you have 13 letters in your name, you will have the devil's luck (Jack the Ripper, Charles Manson, Jeffrey Dahmer, Theodore Bundy and Albert De Salvo all have 13 letters in their names) I always knew my older sisters were abnormal... Chantal Orsini Natalie Orsini ....devil's children. </3

It's hard to believe that like a hundred years ago they would believe it.....
It's sad some of the things they believed...

Well, they were so... naive and uneducated on all this, y'know. They believed that women were witches because they could do things better than men, or because people were educated in the medicine field [all the herbs and stuff]. It's like.. a child. Children are so gullible because they don't know enough to go 'hey, that doesn't make sense'.

oh man.. sorry all those medieval joke movies... good times.. anyway
dang.. I've broken several mirrors enough to keep me in bad luck till I'm like 30 5 or something.. I don't know didn't count.. I think the bad luck part about it was that the mirrors were my sister's...
but I bought her a new one from the dollar store.. so yeah anyway....
And I can believe that they can believe it..

hhmmm. im not very superstitious, but i DO take extra care on FT13 generally because it might happen. although, i do believe a lot of it is just coincidence.
whenever i get new shoes, my mom's like 'don't put them on a table' im like 'wtf...why would i put shoes...on a table?'
