I really don't see the need for war. I mean you outlaw killing people in your country but make it okey to send people's loved ones, mothers, fathers, sons, and daughters over to some other country to kill all those people...just because you don't like something they are doing...
Okey there are sometimes when other countries are doing things they shouldn't be...but do you really need to drop a bomb on them to get the point through?
Then you tell the kids to stay away from the video games.."They are too violent!" Oh but...."Go join the army!" That's not violent? "Go kill those people becuase your country doesn't like them!"
Oh yeah...that makes sense...

war is not only nessasarry to life but it is in human nature to kill one another. you cant change it so dont complain about it, its a waste of energy.

its called "population control". if we didnt have wars, then due to the advancement of medicin and the standard of living in the world nowadays, you can keep a person alive well past the point of their use to society. eventually, there will be overcrowding and everyone would starve to death. thus war=nessassary evil.

Okey..I have always thought about why they don't let people kill other people because there would be less people on earth...I understand that part..
But why outlaw killing in your own country but send people in to purposely kill other people?

I see where you're coming from but I also think the real issue is the hippocracy that seems to be such a major key in Human Nature.
I don't care about "population control" It's not right to kill people. I think I shall stop now because I could make myself even more of a hippocrit and you'd surely debate with me about that.
but I mean I know that in human nature when one is attacked they fight back and I think that is a very big role as to why wars are actually started unless they are like a cold war.
and the whole point of debate is to complain about the issue. This is an issue that affects everyone, some more than others. It's not just about fighting and killing strangers in and out of our country. It's about the family's that are torn apart, that become pieces because they were taken away to fight the power's and leader's battles.
I think war is pointless. I happen to be a firm believer in the "talk it out" method. Now if you were to get all symbolic on it and you looked at our country as a parent and the other countries and children (which can be debated also) then I admit the other countries may need some punishment when they are "bad" but killing innocents, even not-so-innocents and ruining the little bit of land that we have is not necessary, nor is it the smart thing to do. I believe...

well spoken. however, in most wars, the opposing sides USUALLY try to come to some kind of aggrement. its only when they cant agree that they begin killing. in reality, this is the most we can really expect to get out of people. war may not be morally right or whatever, but it will continue to happen until the last man on earth dies, so we might as well accept it and move on. we should use our time and money to ddo something to better humanity like cure cancer or whatever, not spend countless working hours and resources to justify complaining about an endless problem.

And if there was no one to complain then no work would get done.
Besides I wasn't really complaining...it was a debate topic..I just want other people's opinions on the issue...
I still find it dumb....

Ah you see you say that we should use our time instead of "complaining" to find a cure for cancer and what not. Isn't something else on that list world peace?
Now you see that's what I would say to an official. Why spend all of this money, time, and effort fighting a war that really didn't need to take place when we could be using it to solve the population problem, world hunger, cancer and other diseases.
I mean all of these people in the military could be solving these problems. granted Military employs a great amount of people and they do numerous things. But I think sure they should prep in the event of a war (which should be highly unlikely if the world was smart) but I think the efforts need to be shifted ever so slightly to helping the planet and not hurting it. It's destruction, that's what war is. We are doing fine destroying the planet without war.

See...maybe that eighteen year old that died "fighting for his country" Was the one that was going to find the cure for cancer..Oh well too late now....
I find it sad that they don't even have a cure for the common cold but they have weapons that could destroy the whole world...That's using your time wisely....

what I find sad is that every time we discover a big power something that could further make life easier and can also fix things are always first made into a bomb...
Mr. Mack pointed that out...

Yup..I noticed that...."Oh we can use this to boil water.."
No okey that's not why you made it..You made it to blow up someone else....We can boil water with fire! I mean your going to sit there and spend a billion dollars on some experiment just to boil water? Please...
He made me mad the other day...Cuz the one girl in my class said something about Why do we need to know all of this stuff when we are content with not knowing....and he said that was ignorance...
I don't get it....Why the fugg do we need to go to the moon? What good is the moon going to do for us? Why do we need to know what we are made of? I'm happy just living....I don't need to know that I am made of tiny little particles...That ain't gunna help me live my life...
Why do we need to keep improving when things are fine just the way they are?

ok now I could fight with that last bit...
because technologically we are doing great I think. but human naturely? we suck.
so yeah... eh.. I think we want to go to the moon is because this planet has an expiration date. it runs out of stuff, so we're going above and beyond to fine other sources of fuel and so on.
I didn't think he meant that they made the bomb while they said they were going to boil water, they realized it after they made the bombs. so yeah..
now we don't necessarily need to know what is inside of us but our doctors and physiscians do. I mean yeah I think that'd be kind of important...
you know it's teaching specific people while educating the one's who don't care...

I'm not talking about our organs and stuff..Or course we need to know that stuff...but I don't understand why we need to know what the smallest particle is..We can't even frickin see it...
Like I understand how we maybe needed to know how the sun sends the particles down and it damages our DNA and that causes cancer and stuff...but I just don't get why people can live contently without knowing yet they still want to know...
Like I just think they are wasting their breath telling the people that don't care..The people that aren't going to use the information...
