Now, this isn't one of those types of questions like Erin's asking.. but it's still a question about life.
Why do doctors call what they do 'practice'? I mean, seriously. It sounds so.. unexperienced..

well because it's the world and if you are going with the english language.. we're just f-ed up little kiddies who have no idea what they are doing so we figure practice makes perfect...
and we can't call what doctors do perfect can we?
eh? eh?

Well, no.. but they should invent a new word for doctor's. We already have like a hundred words meaning the same thing, we might as well just add another word to the dictionary..

I think it is because doctors are often called practitioners (I dunno how to spell it..)

They should... but when you go into surgery watch out for
"So where's the heart again?"
"I'm so nervous this is my first time in surgery! Are you Excited?"
" What does this little thingymagigger do?"
"Hand me the thingamabobber?"
"Dang I've got a nasty cold and I can't think straight"
and things like that....

That could still happen even if you didn't call it a practice.....

sneezing?
Now I'm wondering if a doctor sneezed down my throat when I got my tonsils out. You never know what they do if you're out like a dead lightbulb...
